Terrapin turtles are native to the U.S. Southeast and often found in swamps, rivers, ponds, lakes or slow-moving streams. Terrapins eat various invertebrates such as crayfish, clams and worms but also plants like snails and algae if they can get them close enough! They may not be able to survive without water but they do have a special gland so that when they drink it’s safe for other animals too!
Terrapin turtles are omnivorous, meaning they eat both meat and plants. They primarily eat a diet of insects, fish, frogs, and other aquatic animals. They also eat cucumber when they need some extra help to digest their food.
